      Hi

I’ve just started to research the spanish property market with a view to buying a property in the Costs Brava or surrounding areas.
I would appreciate any advise on the best area to look and suggested property prices.
I live in Ireland and would like to have a property that i could use throughout the year,i would possibly consider letting the property in the high season(provided we have some sun in the summer in Ireland).
My idea is to have min two bed property in area which is not too touristy but also does not die completely in the winter months. I would like to be able to visit in the winter months (Oct to Mar) and still have have some activities available, restaurants etc.

Congratulations on the site, it has been very useful in getting me started and has also confirmed i am looking in the most suitable region of spain for my needs, if not possibly Europe.

WHAT IS BEST AREA FOR YOUR MAY NOT BE TO OTHERS, AS IT IS VERY SUBJECTIVE TO BE BE MORE EXPILCIT.

      THE TWO MARKETS ARE DIFFERENT.

(provided we have some sun in the summer in Ireland).

IF YOU WISH TO RENT, THAN TOURISTY AREA IS A MUST.CONSIDERING THE SEASON IS MUCH SHORTER IN COSTA BRAVA.

but also does not die completely in the winter months.

MOST AREA WILL DIE OFF SEASON, SPECIALLY IF ITS NOT TOURISTY.

I would like to be able to visit in the winter months (Oct to Mar) and still have have some activities available, restaurants etc.
YOU MAY HAVE TO DRIVE TO THESE PLACES.

Congratulations on the site, it has been very useful in getting me started

and has also confirmed i am looking in the most suitable region of spain for my needs,
FOR YOUR NEEDS, I FEEL YOU SHOULD LOOK FOR IN COSTA DEL SOL.

      if not possibly Europe.
DEPENDS ON YOUR VIEWS, THERE IS FRANCE, GREECE, TURKEY, MOROCCO, MONTENEGRO, BULGARIA, CROATIA, BLACK SEA OF ROMANIA.

      Hi Murph40,

North Costa Brava sounds like it ticks your box. I would suggest anywhere from Sant Feliu de Guixols to L’estartit. I’ve read your other questions. I suggest you get in touch with Louisa Grundon at PCI Pals (just stick it into Google). She should be able to answer your questions as somebody on the ground in the area.
