Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost (as a general guide) to build a house in Spain….say per square metre.

We have a plot of urban land (which we CAN build on…it has water, electricity and gas laid to the boundary) in Corbera de Llobregat…about 35km from Barcelona.

 

I know it would depend on the quality required. Let’s say good quality but not ridiculously expensive.

The land has an area of 2000 square metres.

 

Also, would it make sense to build a pair of “semis” rather than one large one. The thinking behind this idea would be to build the two and then sell one.

 

Any input would be welcome.

Hi Paul,

For a detached or semi-detached on an easy plot, as a rule of thumb I would say figure on 1,500 €/m2 for good quality, all in build costs, not including the cost of land, swimming pool, garden, or perimeter wall. Take it up to 1,800 to 2,000 €/m2 if you want luxury.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has a different opinion.
