We have been interested in buying a property in Spain for about a year now and being regular visitors to Spain over many years we are focusing on Tortosa in the Tarragona region. It is not too busy & noisy ( the lovely sociable Spanish can be a bit noisy late at night!) but there are enough bars & restaurants within easy reach. Hop into a car and you have mountains, Ebro valley, beaches and a delta! We are not buying as an investment, only a ‘ready-to-move-into bolthole to spend time in a part of the world that we love….

At the moment, like many other people we are waiting to see what is happening to the property market & prices.

We are looking at resale apartments so does anyone have any comments/wisdom/anything else about the resale property market in this area or other parts of Spain that are ‘not’ the CDS. The CDS does seem to have some unique challenges!

      Cheers

      Hi,

You probably already know about this but there is a very informative site, http://www.tortosaforum.com with a very active and varied group of forum participants, mostly British expats, intensely focused on that area. The forum gets quite heated at times, but I found invaluable information there (which led me to look in another region). Good luck!

      Sherry
