I have searched for further information about a new tax proposed last year on people who dispense with their electricity provider. Having not seen anything further hopefully this crazy idea has been abandoned ?

Good ! I skimmed that and will read it more thoroughly later. However I think that as yet there is no official response. This last week i received a 2 month factura for electricity on con discrimation dual tariff of 55 euros 31K High and 56K Low costing about 11 Euros the remainder was for Potencia ancilliary charges and Impuestos.I could use more but I use the gas as much as possible. But you can understand why in Canarias I think of using solar !
