Though I hate to give them free publicity, it’s worth noting that Altamira are running a “Casas de costa que no cuestan” (Cheap homes on the coast) campaign to off-load 2,000 homes on the Spanish coast with prices starting at €25,000.
MOST EXPENSIVE PROPERTY FOR SALE
The most expensive home for sale is a resale detached property of 342m2 in Calvia, Mallorca, in the Balearics, costing €866,300 (2,533 €/m2), which doesn’t look like a bargain to me (pictured next).
Next most expensive is a 79m2, 2-bed flat in Diagonal Mar (Barcelona) for €650,000 (8,223 €/m2). Depends what floor it’s on, but looks like it might be significantly more expensive than the sales prices of 2011 – 2014, which would makes sense as prices have been rising in Barcelona the last few years.
CHEAPEST PROPERTY FOR SALE
At the other end of the scale is a 86m2, 3-bed resale flat in Castellon de la Plana, part of the Valencian region and home to the Costa del Azahar. Very central, beside a park and a school. Price is €25,000 (290 €/m2).
Most of the properties for sale are located on the coast of the Valencian Region and Andalusia, but there are also properties in the Balearics, Canaries, and Catalonia.
Altamira is the real estate servicer set up by Santander Bank, though they now sell properties from the Sareb bad bank and others.
