Difficult, to say the least.

Don’t get me wrong Emma, but if you have a young family, and don’t have a secure living waiting for you in Spain, then you need to think very hard before you burn any bridges. The reality is that it doesn’t work out for many people, because it turns out to be much harder to make a living in Spain than most people imagine. Fine if you have a secure form of income, such as a pension or rental income in the UK, that means you can more or less get by in Spain. Also fine if you have a job waiting for you in Spain. If neither of these apply to you, then my advice would be don’t rush into a move to Spain.
