Having toured the whole country of Spain looking for a suitable location to buy a house, I and my wife have taken a liking to the Province of Segovia (north of the Sierra Guadarrama and 110 km north of Madrid).
BUT, I can not find anything on the web in English about buying houses in this area (or even Castilla y Leon) and more surprisingly very little in Spanish.
Is there a reason for this? Are there dangers I should be aware of? Thanks for any help.
Segovia is gorgeous, the food is wonderful, and it really is the real Spain. I guess it’s just too far off the beaten track for international investors, I’m not really sure why. In France, Brits buy all over the country, but in Spain they tend to stick to the coast.
What do you want to know? The process is the same in Segovia as Marbella, though some taxes might be a bit different. If you can’t find any property for sale have you tried the local portals like idealista.com and fotocasa.es?
