I am currently looking at buying a place in Spain but there are obviously factors to consider and the main ones are location, location and location and of course the price.
So the question is, which are the cheapest coastal areas in Spain to buy in at the moment, as for money and prices that’s something I can negotiate when I’m out there as the rock bottom prices in property is only 12 to 18 months away, that’s on the assumption what people are saying is true.

The cheapest Spanish coastal areas are the ones that are about to be bulldozed over. You’ll find plenty of bargains there 😉

It’s easier to list the expensive places to avoid if you are price driven:
-The Balearics
-Catalonia
-North Costa Blanca
-West Costa del Sol
But they are also some of the nicest places. That’s life
Yes getting a good location and a bargain is the holy grail. I think it’s better to look for the location you like first, get to know the market for that area, and then look for value. Starting off just looking for the cheapest areas will introduce risks – cheap areas are usually cheap for a reason!
