Hello, hopefully ive come to the right place for advice.

I am currently considering the possibility of purchasing a property in the Torremolinos or Benalmadena area with a view to buying to let.

Having been to this area half a dozen times before, its somewhere I would consider retiring to in 30 years or perhaps just spend more time there as I get older.

As I have no previous experience of buying Spanish property, I am aiming to do as much research as possible but so far most of it has been online google searches for information.

Already there are a few questions I find myself asking such as

How will brexit affect us in the UK, property prices and market in Spain, air fares from UK etc?

How much percentage deposit is usually required for mortgages from Spanish banks, hidden taxes, estate agents fees, land reg fees etc.

What I want for a start is people with experience of buying and owning Spanish property who can point me to the correct reading literature so that I can build a better picture of the road that lies ahead.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated

Hi there, actually am stressing on the same point and urging all experts to find a quick solution to this same question since I am also considering finding a property to buy in Spain and looking forward to finding the best locations and also an expert to offer guidance.

I have a long experience in real estate investment in GCC region either Bahrain, Dubai or Qatar. But, following the recent turbulence taking place in the region due to political and economic reasons,  I am considering shifting to another place.

I used to deal with a real estate agent in Bahrain called Weetas (https://bahrain.weetas.com/) and they offered some assistance, they also had articles and news section, I’d like to know if there any similar agency in Spain offering the same services.
