This company, who does everything via its web-site to let you believe they are part of Telefonica have taken €94.00 and have not provided us with a telephone line and ADSL. This has been going on since June.
Now I’ve cancelled the would-be installation and asked for a refund. No sign of my money back.
Would the police be interested? Is there a consumer or trading standards equivalent I could go to? My bank can’t do anything because its outside the 20 days. We just thought it was taking time because it was Spain, not because they, allegedly, are ripping people off.
I’ve emailed a few of the advertisers who I know take their ads. so it may save other people losing their money.
Have also spoken to Telefonica who can’t or won’t help.
If you want to involve a third party in your attempts to get a telephone then I suggest contacting the national ombudsman in Madrid. A standard letter in Spanish is available here:
I too had a few run-in’s with this company.
I was despairing with Telefonica for the installation of ADSL at home, so I approached these.
What a shambles….not to mention a sham.
All they seem to do is order the same services from Telefonica and then charge you. Easy money!
Even when the ADSL kit didn’t arrive for 8 weeks, they still charged me.
I would not recommend them to anyone.
However, that does not mean to say I would recommend Telefonica to anyone either…probably the most faceless company in the world!
A small point but i assumed that you had NOT paid by credit card hence your post. On the off chance that you did you can of course claim your money back from the credit card company as your good have not been received. As far as i am aware the charging company can NOT charge to your account goods they have not supplied so for example if i ordered a item to be sent to me the supplier should only charge my account AFTER it has been sent to me.
No, cleverly on their part, they insist a direct debit be set up (as required by Telefonica) so we did this via the Bank. We have now ensured no further direct debits will be taken.
I’m really puzzled by this company. They’ve obviously put a lot into making their web-site professional. They had the opportunity to take more money if they wanted (before we cancelled d/d), some people have had a service provided by them and yet they are not reputable. May be a little money from a lot of people is their way of not been too visible and so they can carry on exploiting people.
Thanks for your thought about the credit card payment.
I just think they are Telefonica agents and as Telefonica are pretty awful to deal with no matter what, i guess thier business model is based on offering telefonica ‘in English.’
Anyway Direct Debit should be the same as a credit card (it is in the UK) that is if a company takes money and does not provided the goods (and i mean nothing not an argument about the quality) the bank should refund you.
I don’t know T in E at all but you may find its Telefonica who are not giving T in E the service and therefore not able to provide you. Poor communication is always bad for business though.
