Has anyone else noticed that the wonderfull Viva Estates have closed Benalmadena Alhaurin El Rosario Sotogrande and Estepona offices
What a shame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have assumed that as the market has no doupt slowed down like any business you control you overheads accordingly.
Is this a wish or a fact that you feel there are financial implications that could bring your thread into reality.
Block Buster videos just closed in our town so are they heading for a downfall as well ?
I personally found some of their latest news report rather interesting depending on how each views the situation on the property market in Spain.
There is a post from Chris McCarthy on another forum (didn’t really want to post the link because of the rivalry!!) about this subject. Apparently it isn’t as sinister as the OP thinks, but I don’t know myself personally.
Not as sinister as the OP posts, but still never the less a news worthy issue given there domination and first port of call for the inexperienced and first time british buyer.
Any busines in any sector needs to adapt to the market conditions and trends to maintain profitability.
I am sure Mr McCarthy intends to develop his 10 year old busines to the best of his ability and to maintain the profitability to which he has become acustomed.
Viva has been struggling for a while, anyone remember the lengthy thread on here when they tried to improve their cash flow!! know a few who got stung with that one 🙄 If you have noticed there is a reply form Chris Mcarthy in another thread giving the reasons for the “restructuring” Leave you to make your own mind up on this 🙂

although i’m no fan of viva, the closure of the those offices makes a certain sense. When they were opened, they were following the fashion trends. Off-plan craze, inland craze, etc…
They are generally offices in pretty inaccesible locations or have poor parking. But this was acceptable when most of their clients were being dragged over on viewing/inspection/discovery trips.
Now with the changes in the market, the offices are probably becoming money drainers. ESPECIALLY if they open that monstrosity of an office on the way up to Mijas Pueblo. From that office they should be able to centralise and relocate their business and staff.
Notice the offices that can get good passing trade are staying open? Benalmadena/torremolinos/fuengirola, etc..
Hell I’ve even seen viva marketing in Spanish 😯 They actually start to realise the of the spanish buy properties….
