Have you been listening to those estate agents 😉

The urbanisation and blocks look very ugly and too far from the sea to be a good investment

Thanks Katy, if I had been listening to the Agents I would not have had the issues and after taking my last sip of tinto I would have signed on the dotted line. Would you fancy living next door to a Millwal Fan ???. I sure not !!!!!

Oh. I thought you meant football players 🙂 Is it a rumour or true? They sound cheap but as I said they don’t look very attractive when driving past. Don’t think they would be good as a rental investment 1. a long way from the airport. 2. Golfers want to be close to the action and it is isolated. 3. My OH tells me the golf course is badly designed.

Any idea how much the community fees are?

Depending on the size apprantly they starts from €73. You beleive this you beleive anything. As I am sure the developers are not paying their portion of the fee and some creative accounting is being carried out to suppress cost. The price for two bed two bath has been reduced to €82k

Is the complex in such a bad location? I am not an expert but its 5 minutes drive from Estpona town so doesn’t seem that bad to me. You can also get onto the motorwy quickly so doesn’t take too long to drive anywhere.

P.S. I haven’t bought in this development but prices seem good to me for what you are getting.

I share your thoughts. How bad the ambience etc is, I need to judge for myself. I however prefer to be armed with as much info as possible before I visit these places. This saves me the time where I need to find time to visit them in between siestas, puente, people not turning up or arrive late thus messing up my schedule of ” things to do “

Hi Shakeel, I personally don’t feel that the location is too bad. I am not too sure how long it takes to drive to the apartments from the complex entrance but once you are on the main coastal road it literally is 5 minutes in Estepona. Plus the nearest beach (a little cove cant remember the name) is lovely.

I know most people only ever seem interested in Marbella on this forum but I think Estepona town is a nice town to be near to. Its also seems to be increasing in popularity with tourists. Its also not too far from Gibralter airport which means you have the choice of the two airports. There are a few 4 and 5 star hotels along that stretch of the coast. Also, there are some very nice restaurants on the Casares Road which is about 10 minutes away, along with Finca Cortesin Golf Complex and hotel which is very nice. I believe Finca Cortesin have also recently opened up a beach club along the coast.

The coast is also not as built up so doesn’t look as awful as the Malaga end. You can get to Banus, Marbella within half an hour and is a short drive to Tarifa. You will definitely need a car but this seems to be the case with most developments along the coast unless you are right in a town.

I know when the complex was originally marketed, it was meant to be similiar to La Manga with, as you said, football teams training there etc. I doubt they will build half the things they originally promised, but for 80k as long as all the apartments, golf course and club get built then I don’t personally see how they can go much lower. It would be interesting to see if the additional facilities such as the spa, hotel shops etc ever get built? Are they still tied in with the football clubs or has that died a death?

      Hi Callal,
Of course people have their prefences & long may it last. Estepona does not carry the bling that Marbella does & yes in my experience the beaches in Estepona are much nicer than the Malaga end.

I am not certin if they have dropped the idea of the football connection. I certainly would not buy anything connected to football. When I spoke to the sales staff he confirmed to me that this has been the case. I will not take his word for it & if I cannot see & feel it & it is not tangable I ignore it. This is my starting point when it comes to Spain.

Good luck with your viewing trip. I would interested to hear your thoughts on the complex and surrounding area once you have checked it out.

      All the best.
