We have reserved an off plan apartment in La Linea area. Our first lawyer was unable to proceed due to being imprisoned!!!! Our second lawyer based near Marbella has now told us he is finding it too difficult to handle our purchase due to his distance from the property. The developers have opted to complete under judicial administration which
has been approved and a lawyers office appointed to carry out the
administration.We have already paid out several thousand euros in lawyer fees and need a recommended, reputable, English speaking lawyer to take on our case.
Advice, suggestions and recommendations would be very much appreciated.

I can recommend a very good lawyer in Valencia – although a fair distance away he is already looking after a number of clients ont he Costa Del Sol. He is Irish (but approved by the Valencia BAR) and his partner is Spanish. They are very dilligent and never let a client proceed unless they are 100% happy.

Out of curiosity where is the property you bought off plan that you are having problems with? We received bad news a few weeks ago about our which seems to be in the same area – I posted my question yesterday on this site – please let me know. By the way we are with direct lawyers marbella who at the moment seem OK…. -

I remember reading your story last year, is it continued on another thread? I am already sifting through the many threads and making notes. I do not intend to walk away without a fight. At one point I was almost pleading my case to my husband to just walk away and take this as a hard lesson learned. The stress is unbearable at times.
I also realise that although you have a lawyer looking after your case you do need to be very proactive. Our apartment is on the Aureus Development and we would love to get together with others who have reserved there.
