Hi I have heard that the UK government wants owners of property abroad to let them know in case they need to pay tax on rentals. I have a property but have never let it. Is anyone aware if this is the case? I have looked on the hmrc website but everything seems to assume that if you own a property you are letting is and making money from it. The deadline for letting them know and providing info is 30 September 2018.
