Thanks for being up front by indicating a price on your posting, I’m sure you will generate more interest by doing so. 😀
Bad timing for me as my money is tied up on another project just now, otherwise I just might have been interested.
Good luck with your sale,

Number of questions.
A/how long have you owned it
b/ what is the average tepmerature, does it get warm in summer
c/what are the locals like, are they welcoming to foreign people using their town property as a holiday place
d/do you have any pictures you could email
e/when buying privately are there any buying taxes to pay or is it just lawyer fees.

A. We have owned the house since May 2004.
B. It gets hot in the summer, typically 40 deg F, Jul-Sept. Can be cold in the winter of course – we had snow a couple of weeks ago for the first time in about 20 years!
C. The “expat” population here is still very small. The total population is about 12000 and the expat population maybe about 150 including French, Morrocans etc. The majority are permanent residents who are well integrated now. Nobody we know has encountered any animosity at all, the locals are very welcoming. There are even free Spanish lessons provided 5 nights per week! Hardly anybody here speaks any English so it is necessary to learn Spanish.
D. Yes, I can email photos if you give me your email address.
E. I’m unfortunately not qualified to give tax/buying advice, you would need to consult a gestor or lawyer. As far as I know all the usual taxes and fees are payable except of course estate agent’s commission!

This house is still for sale (or available to rent in the meantime). There has been lots of interest but no offers. We are willing to negotiate for a “quick” sale 😉
