Was thinking of buying off plan apartment in costa de la luz, after reading some of the nightmares that can happen, now very confused. Are we better buying ready built? from an agent or not? please help! 😕 😕
Definitely buy what you can see,something that has already been built.See what is surrounding the property, what your views are.Buy something that you can put your key in the door the moment you complete.DON’T BUY OFF-PLAN!!!! Choose your agent very carefully. Get a good independent lawyer, who will make sure all of the legal licences are in place. Get your contract translated into English. These are all the things I wish we had done!! We have no degree from the University of Hindsight!!
Hi , Speaking from personal experience, I would be very very careful if you are thinking buying off plan. If you are planning to sell before completion, I think you are going to find this near impossible. I have only experiences from Costa del Sol, but would think it is similar sitiuation where you are thinking of buying. Stay away from the big companies who promise you great savings and profit. Go and talk to small local agents that know the area well and who also lives there. Any particular reason why you want to buy off plan? I would go for something already build with all the papers in order, then you can start living there straight away or let it if that is what you want to do. The after sales service of the big companies are a joke! Once they have sold and got their huge commission they wll drop and forget you ever existed.
