Hi, I am thinking of buying a bungalow in Arboleas for own/family use. We rented one there about 10 years ago, and enjoyed the fact that it was away from the busy costas, and had a nice village atmosphere.
Does anyone know if the area is still the same, i.e. pleasant and quietish?

I imagine so, but I also haven’t been there for a decade. From what I can tell Almeria has recovered more slowly than other areas from the market crash, so I doubt it is any more built up than it was a decade ago.

But the last time I checked Arboleas and Albox, in fact the whole region, were plagued with planning problems, so make sure you use a good lawyer like Gerardo Vazquez when buying anywhere in Almeria.
