An interesting article that I have found about the spanish property market but it is a bit dated: 16th July 2010, but it is still worth a read:

Spanish property: There is a lot of over-priced rubbish out there

Athough the article is a bit dated it is quite revealing and relevant today.

I have noticed of late a lot of posts just looking to drive prices hopefully lower as if it needs help.

katy, think you’re right about an agenda, wum possibly? Maybe even an alias or crony for you know who 😉 Can think of at least 3 or 4 on here 😉

It would be like one of us saying ‘wasn’t Jordan buying somewhere in Spain, I think I read this years ago, what was it about?’

One agent on here often posts under an assumed name and asks others to post for them, they are so recognisable, and we posed as customers in their office a while back, even had an inspection tour and found out some interesting facts, amazed at how you can get them to ‘open up’ if they smell a sale 😆 This time we became their best friend, not the other way round 😆

      http://www.repossessed-property-spain.com/en/repossessed-3-bedroom-detached-villa-in-ciudad-quesada-rojales/property/20450/

Asking price €316,100 (not including taxes), reduced from €344,952

What do you think it’s worth? To my mind it is still wildly over-priced.

Then again, I wouldn’t buy it at any price.

I wouldn’t buy it at any price either Mark, it’s on what looks like a Costa Blanca urb., on a main road, you can see the cracks in the render (that I go on about) it looks dreadful. What’s it likely worth if nothing at all, 100k ish to someone desperate to move to their ‘dream home in Spain’ 🙄

Yes, the style is Costa Blanca. Depending on its location, view, neighbourhood etc. I may buy it for the land, demolish it and start again. Needless to say the price offered for the land will reflect the demolition cost etc.

To find a buyer for it you would need to go down to around 200-230k.

I have never liked that area but whatever floats your boat.
