Why would you want a puffa jacket in Spain?? We’re constantly being told ( by ex-pats) that the weather is always wonderful there! 😉

Many ex-pats say it is cheaper to buy in Spain too 😆

Most larger stores deliver to Spain…Harrods, House of Fraser, Next etc. We have bought lots of stuff including furniture for spanish delivery from John Lewis.

If anyone is en route from Portsmouth go to the Gunwharf shopping centre. Full of factory outlet stores, including Gap. My OH got some Gap Chinos for £12 per pair. All the top names are there, Hobbs, Polo etc. Even a cadburys shop which sells delicious mishapes cheaply 🙂

True if you just sit in your urbanisation near the coast. But go inland and it’s another story. If I’m not mistaken Spain has the highest proportion of high ground in Europe after Switzerland. It can get quite nippy in winter. I’ve never been colder in my life than one February night in Madrid. Warm jackets come in handy….

We had an email this morning from friends who live in Frigiliana saying it was wet …and cold! So guess you do need warm coats too. Here in the UK we are supposed to be getting temps of 18 degrees this week. Not bad for November.

If on holiday on the CDS in November it can feel very warm as most of the day is spent out in the sun (if not raining!). Evenings are spent in a warm hotel. However, when living there, more time is spent indoors doing mundane things. A pleasant 20C outside can be a cool 16C inside. In all the years I lived there I could never understand why spanish houses get so cold! We had gas CH but it was never efficient despite having double glazing. My UK house stays warm during the night despite the heating going off at 10.30pm. In Spain it would be very cold a half hour after going off. Sometimes I would leave the heat/AC unit on overnight in the bedroom…it was going on and off every 10 mins 😮

When out pet sitters came in Dec/Jan they would bring hot water bottles from the UK. Thick jackets and dressing gowns. 😆
