I’ve been left around €100k in a will and want to invest it in property.
I spend my time in Germany and Ireland – property in the former is too expensive and still is in the latter, despite the country lurching from one economic crisis to another.
I like Spain.
All over really from the Costas to Madrid.
But trying to get a handle on buying property online gives me a headache after five minutes.
This thread does exactly what it says on the tin – the very best property bargain for around €100k that you’ve got/seen/heard about anywhere.
And I mean anywhere.
Except Murcia.I really don’t like Murcia.
I’m not after a lock and leave bucket-and-spade job and have plenty of experience of property renovation so an old ruin comes into the equation.
I know – now is probably the wrong time to buy but I’m relatively young and in it for the long haul and luckily I don’t need this €100k sat in a bank earning zilch.

It is not a wise thing to say that you have a large amount of cash sitting in your bank account.
several years ago some English people did that and visited a property for sale only to be kidnapped and their bank accounts emptied. It may never happen but its your safety I am concerned about.

We have had to move for my husbands job, we have a fully renovated property in a great town in Alcala la real it is situated so you get the best of both worlds town and country, not too far from the beach 40 mins drive. The town is bustling and has many fiestas and hosts one of the biggest free music festivals in Spain.The town itself is being injected with EU money so there is a high demand for long/short term rental.
