      Can anyone tell me if it is possible to post the completed 214 tax form to the tax office in Spain and if so how will they accept payment. This form is for non residents paying wealth tax and notional rent tax.

      I am living in Ireland and I can print off the form 214 from the Agencia Tributaria website but can’t do the return online as they require a digital certificate which apparently you need to request in person at the local tax office.

      thanks

      I don’t think it is possible as the money is paid into their account through the banking system.

      Well is it possible to send the tax form to my bank in Spain and have it debited from my account. I have heard that you can pay these taxes through the bank allright. But I dont know if I have to do it in person or not.

      I post mine to my bank manager in spain with a formal letter authorising the necessary deductions.

      I would phone them up first and tell them its coming and ask to whom it should be addressed.

      The bank holds the special envelopes required for the tax office. Remember, you need to apply the special adhesive barcode to the forms before you send them.

      I have never had any problems paying my taxes this way. Both forms 214, 215 and the wealth tax.

      Sorry i should have made clear you CANNOT send your form to the tax office. It has to go to your bank, either in person or by post.

      ashtondave – can you tell me what the adhesive bar code is and where do I get one from. My lawyer is charging me 200 euros to do this job – so I am doing it myself this year!

      The sticky bar codes are issued by your local Hacienda office. You just go in there with your details and they print you out a sheet while you wait.

      Yes take your NIE certificate to the local tax office and they’ll print you a shed load of sticky labels and give you the pretty official envelopes. Don’t staple the tax return forms, either.

      Hi Hillybilly,

      Well, it’s time for me to do my first 214 and I’ve found a form and instructions for filling in at …..

      Instructions ->http://www.aeat.es/AEAT/Contenidos_Comunes/Modelos_y_formularios/Declaraciones/I._Renta_de_No_Residentes/214/Instrucciones/ayu214e.htm

      Form -> http://www.aeat.es/AEAT/Contenidos_Comunes/Modelos_y_formularios/Declaraciones/I._Renta_de_No_Residentes/214/mod214e.pdf

      Having had a peer at the instructions, am I right to say that you stick the labels, on each page, in the box entitled ‘Contribuyente’?

      Anyone got a web page that shows the address of the local offices where I get the labels ?

      Many thanks in advance,

      Yes, “etiqueta” is the adhesive barcode label. Don’t know where you live but your bank will tell you where the nearest tax office is.

      I have downloaded form 214 which is the form for paying a notional rent tax. The villa is not rented out at all. I just use it for holidays. What amount should I pay. Is it a % of the catastral or a combination of the 2 columns in area 4? Any help would be appreciated.
