we have been informed that the steps to the elevated door of our townhouse are the property of the community and as such the new non slip edged tiles we laid will be removed and replaced with old stone tiles to match all other steps – these old tiles are slippery when wet – laid over 25years ago – cracked and dangerous

Is this is the case  – if someone slipped on the  old tiles would the community be liable for a claim

They will not send me any legal paperwork to show the steps belong to them and i find this ridiculous – what would happen if they removed the steps or banned me from using them – the steps

only lead to my front door they are not shared and not communal steps
