    Oh no its not!

    I rent out my apartment for about £6,000 a year, plus we live in it for maybe 2 months.

    So £100,000 would be about right as a selling price. About 5% below currently achieved prices for similar properties.

    If you declare that as income in the UK as you should the return is minimal. It may take you into the 40% tax band which is even worse. The attraction for Brits renting out holiday homes is declining, if they play by the rules of course.
