Thanks very much 🙂 Looks nice but still have the legal problems and if I posted the one one the same site as Suzanne it would show a similar nightmare 😈 as you have.
I was well screwed on that one and cutting a long story was only supposed to have been left with the property in the photos.

85 percent hotel occupancy on the Costa del Sol over the May Bank Holiday

Tourist chiefs are now optimistic for the summer.
Tourism chiefs on the Costa del Sol are taking the high occupancy levels over the May Day bank holiday as a prelude to a good summer.

The Association of Hoteliers on the Costa AEHCOS has said that the Puente saw 85% occupancy levels in local hotels, and that the weekend has removed the memory of the poor Easter this year.

Occupancy levels were also high in inland areas such as Ronda and Antequera, and far better than seen at Easter. Most of the inland tourists are from elsewhere in Spain.

The crunch has hit the Spanish too and instead of travelling as they have done for the last few years they are coming to their own beaches for the hols. Looks like it will be a busy summer!

i don’t think anywhere will feel hot again after my holiday in Zante last summer. It was over 40c on several days, and made Spain seem quite cool. I much prefer the Spanish temperature, well hot, but not so much that you end up hiding from the sun as a rule.

England’s lovely in the sun though, no complaints this week!

Zante is renowned for being too hot mid-Summer. Next time try Santorini or Crete – always a lovely cooling breeze. 8)

thanks, yes we might well do that. I loved the clear blue warm sea and the turtles, and the warmth of the early mornings as the sun was coming up, but no sea life strangely?. We hired a jeep and drove all over the Island looking for good snorkeling and found next to nothing?

The restaurants were almost empty as well, and smacked of desperation, as some owners were insistant to the point of being rude if you didn’t go in and eat. Not nice at all, but it was tough for them. The Greek staff in the hotel were lovely however.

At least we had the crazy golf/table tennis to ourselves, armed with loads of water and sun cream. No one else was mad enough to be out in sun for that long!

Yes – odd isn’t it? The South coast of Australia is the same. Amazing scenery but stick your head under the water – NOTHING 😯

Apparently it’s due to the lack of nutrients. No rivers mean no silt = no nutrients = no plankton = no seaweed = no little fish = no big fish etc!

At least you’re safe from being eaten 😉

Cant beat San Pedro – theyve ground down the stones!!! and replaced a lot of sand. Not too many people, several bars and restaurants in a stretch of about 1km

And the best part of all? Is I wake up looking at it every morning, then take the dog for a stroll along the paseo before walking to the office, going out in the open top car to my appointments and just living. And its like that for errrrm, most if the year, though the hood gets dropped april and back up october, in case it rains!

      Bit overcast today though!

wow, that really does sound like an enviabe lifestyle to me. It was the sort of thing i used to daydream about before getting embroiled in kids and my own business (any room for self employed T-Shirt printers in Spain?)

Even when i put a deposit on our apartment 6 years ago, i wondered what it might lead to………little did i know, sadly!

who knows the future though?. My kids are at a good village school and doing well. My daughter has year 9 stats next year, my son the year after, so with that and the business, we wont be going far for a few years, but one day……………..

Yes it is good really and easy to forget about in the rush of general life.

Dont worry – when you do get here you will love it and at least the weather wont change and the sea wont move – I hope!!

Gosh……What another scorcher it’s been down here in Dorset again today. The dawn chorus is amazing and the wild flowers are out. I’ve even got a couple of moorhens nesting on my pond – that’s a first.

      I hear it’s cloudy over much of Europe – shame……. 😆 Woops, sorry I also meant 😥

And the long term forcast Claire…..that’s brill 😉

Was swimming in the sea this morning to cool down……ooops sorry well, was at least thinking about it as its so gorgeous out here

You know its one of the strange things I realized about Spain, in the UK we would get lovely weekdays and awful weekends, here even if its iffy in the week it seems to cheer up just in time to bale out early friday, go for beachside lunch and then spend the weekend in the sun

Which is what I will be doing this weekend

Enjoy everyone (who can! 😀 )
