Its illegal to have a SKy card in Europe. (although everyone has them) If they find out you are in Spain you will be cut off. There are many businesses here that supply everything, eg. a large dish. You will need a UK address for the SKY card. Where is Spain are you.

I have had my sky system for 3 years now, I have no UK address and pay my monthly subscribtions with a Spanish Credit Card, the service was once disconected when I lost my credit card and they could not take my monthly payment however a quick call and new card details had the service restored same day.

IMHO far better to have the real mccoy than to pay for the totally illegal pirate services who are just retransmitting sky signals through their own encoded digital systems.

You MUST have a UK address to set it up though, they ask for an address and Postcode. I have rung SKY a couple of times to change the package and they ask for the poscode too.

A mate once installed a system in the house of a senior marketing manager at Sky they know it goes on and are quite happy although they can’t say this officially as they don’t have a license to broadcast the films on a european wide basis.

I bought mine on ebay. I don’t bother with the pay channels, though.

The only problem is that the guy who sent it obviously sourced it in Newcastle as the BBC1 and ITV1 channels default to Tyne Tees local stations. Actually i say its a problem but its not really. It’s delightful to be sitting in the sun in December and see the morning weather girl shivering on the bridge admiring the fog on the Tyne.
