I am planning to buy a flat in Playa del Ingles and am trying to get my head around the touristc vs residential classification of flats. I would like to buy a property for short term rental as well as for occasional personal use.
As I understand it, a newly bought property (post 1/1/17) in a complex classified as touristic normally cannot be rented out for periods of less than 6 months. Is there any legal way to make rentals of less than six months? For example, I would be happy to rent through the community management company or the holder of a touristic license for the complex.
