I would be very grateful of any advice or tips from anyone who has sold their property in Spain. I have been asked to research the best websites to use apart from the obvious – Zoopla & Rightmove.
The property is a hotel and has been advertised via 2 estate agents in Spain for some time with no interest whatsoever.
Whenever I search for the answers I just get the usual advice about using a lawyer and the taxes and costs involved. I can’t find any advice regarding actually marketing the property, where to advertise / tricks of the trade / effective websites to advertise on, estate agents to be recommended etc.
A very basic question maybe for some of you on here, but any help would be great.

Selling a hotel is a bit different to selling a flat or villa in a coastal resort. It’s more like a B2B operation.
It also depends on where it is, how big it is, and the price tag.
Selling a big hotel in Barcelona for €20m needs a different sales channel and marketing to selling a B&B in Galicia for €200,000.
Generally speaking, selling a hotel means going through local business brokers, though it’s a good idea to supplement that through your own marketing using portals, social media etc. There are international business brokers like Christie + Co, who have a directory of hotels for sale in Spain here. Otherwise the option is usually local brokers, once again depends on where the hotel is.
Can you link us to the page where you advertise your hotel?

Thanks for getting back to me, yes sure here is the link to the hotel advertised with a local agent:
Although it’s run like a hotel, the property itself is a simple complex of 9 houses and a restaurant that we let out on a holiday let basis.
Any advice would be appreciated.
