Would It be safer to buy through this company ?
-
Won’t it be the same estate agents and property sellers using the website?
I understand too that Idealista are expanding abroad – they’ve just launched their Italian site. Could be a new continental battle?

I’m pretty sure Idealista has been covering Italy and Portugal for a number of years now

Rightmove is a portal, it doesn’t handle the sales. As Marcos says you’ll still end up buying through the agent that has placed the advert on Rightmove.

Agree with Chopera. It is just very annoying that a site that should be dedicated to private buyers/sellers gets hijacked by estate agents !!!!!!!!!!

Well who can I buy property with that will do all the searches and give me a full honest price ?

Idealista and fotocasa have the best coverage. It is much harder to obtain an “honest” (by which I assume you mean “market”) price in Spain. Asking prices are generally much higher than actual transaction prices in Spain – about 20% in my experience. Right now it’s even harder to work out the transaction prices because so few people ar buying. Also the market is highly localised – you need to spend time on the ground to see what is selling and what relly is a bargain. It is not something you can do over the internet I’m afraid.

The brutal truth is no one and it is not only the prices that you should be looking for honesty & even the searches cannot be honest.
