Can I apply for a resident visa in Spain while not being fiscally resident there? For example lets say I move to Spain and apply for residency visa to avoid Brexit deadline as I plan to live there longer term, however, in the first year I may not be there for the full 181 days so could i avoid tax liability in Spain but still continue with the resident visa process. Any ideas how I could keep the residency open and in progress without paying taxes there
