Check out my message in private sales section. We are happy living here, paying a much larger mortgage than those flats for sale in our block but ho hum, maybe we should all start thinking of property as somewhere to live and not worry about the value of it and the amount we’ll make on it’s sale?

Life is too short to worry about things, go out and enjoy it……. 🙂

In your message you forgot to mention that the prices like 26K Euros are the entry prices in the auction.

I do not know who are http://www.subastamoscasas.com, do the belong to any bank liquidating the portfolio? The entry prices seem acceptable.

Hi, the 26k one is Banesto bank I believe (see http://www.milanuncios.com http://www.milanuncios.com/venta-de-pisos-en-cuevas-de-almanzora-almeria/se-vende-piso-en-cuevas-de-almanzora-31428559.htm ) , I can find out though as our community information shows which banks have been paying the monthly fees. I can remember Banco Andalucia and I believe Santander plus Caja Murcia for one on the 2nd floor near to us but they are going to have to drop their price to compete with the others I think. Three others at 50,000 are owners and not bank repos.

The Mayor’s sister owns a flat upstairs so I am trying to get some Brits in on the good prices….

From previous posts I think this poster is some sort of agent. Jut take a look back over the years.

Personally they would have to pay me to stay in that nuclear contaminated dump 😉

Hi Katy, i’m not an agent, i’m a full time mum to two little boys. We are back in Spain now and have only just connected to the internet here.

A few years ago my step brother wanted to sell his duplex and now there are flats in my block for sale. I thought that forums after the boom were here to help people not make mistakes? I could have written slagging off certain places saying ‘don’t buy there because it’s full of Romanian prostitutes etc. but I didn’t…..but if someone asks me I would tell them the truth because I don’t think it’s fair, especially since lots of people are desperate to sell and would say that their flat smelt of roses just to get rid of it. I lost my job here a few years ago telling someone that I doubted that the Almanzora Country Club had a licence….I hope that they didn’t buy as they were a lovely retired couple. I was told to leave the furniture shop for not being a ‘team player’. Sorry, I like my block, my neighbours and calle el Pilar. I didn’t like the people who bought in the boom but now their flats are on the market again so I am trying to encourage nice neighbours in these tricky times. As I said, I have two young boys and I am thinking of them and defending their right to live happily.

ps, Cuevas del Almanzora is the town, on the outskirts is Palomares (about 15 minutes drive away) where you say it is a contaminated dump and is where lots of Brits do own homes (so thanks for your support to them but it is well documented on the internet and on the news anyway….)

Just remind us….how many properties have you put on here 🙄 As for that area I would rather stick pins in my eyes than go there, let alone buy a property. I consider I AM helping people I do but maybe not from a sellers point of view!

Without bothering to go through old posts they were probably my step brothers duplex as I said, a friends bar & restaurant, maybe another friends traditional andalucian house with cave bedroom and probably our own flat when we were hoping to move to a cortijo. Why not post them here if it’s a private sales space?

Isn’t this Spanish Property Insight…um, about Spanish Property…..?? When we moved back to Spain I obviously got back into the community again and therefore get to hear of properties for sale. The Spanish want to sell to the Brits and the Brits want to sell to the Spanish, Belgians, Russians or whoever. Why should the Spanish get to buy beachside flats for example for 50k whilst the Brit agents advertise for 100k? Isn’t the best information from those actually here living in a Spanish community rather than a Little Britain? A shiny new flat might look nice in photos but you might get a nightmare neighbour and others who say ‘why did you buy there?’.

I’ve spoken to a few Spanish people in town today and they are interested in the flats in this block. Good, they are nice people. Would we really want people who would just nick pick about everything just like you Katy? ‘ooh, they make too much noise during their fiesta’, ‘why do they talk loudly at 11pm at night’….. Don’t come to this area, please Katy.

ps, Zapatero seems to like nearby Vera or else he wouldn’t have a house there (even if it is for sale but maybe I shouldn’t say that incase i’m accused of trying to be his agent 🙄

So how many have you put on for sale then?? If I posted houses for sale in Spain which belonged to friends and neighbours I knew I could fill the forum 😆

It is good to see that the prices are getting closer to something more reasonable.

On the other hand, there are apartments like this in Vera, which is much closer to the sea than your city:

      http://www.fotocasa.es/vivienda/vera/ancha-125936128?opi=1&tti=1&pagination=1&RowGrid=1

By the time the financial crisis is over, I would expect both area to lose another 30%-40% of the house prices.

Of course people with loads of money will always want to go to Barcelona, Marbella or Altea Hills but many would also be happy to pay
£10K for an apartment in Almeria region.

Zapatero liking anything is hardly a recommendation ???? Its like the English tourist Board asking to come to London because the Queen lives there. She is not going to invite people coming to London for TEA ????
