I wonder whether anyone would be able to tell us how much the re-connection of the water and re-connection of the electricity might cost.
I believe it depends on the area. Even the agents seem unsure. Has anyone any experience in the Murcia region?
      Thank you for any help.

Our bill from Sevillana Endessa for our apartment in Vera was for 50€ for 5.7kw. Although it was a new property, there was a bill for a supposedly previous occupant (probably the one that withdrew before completion). We were expecting a initial connection fee of around 150€, but it seems we were only charged for re- connection. Can’t help with the water, sorry.

Not sure if that helps or not?

I’ve recently had two clients re-connected after non payment of bills and no charge was made. However the water company did charge interest on the outstading bills.

      Dear Members
I believe I did not make myself very clear.
I was told (and it was advertised) that water and electricity was ‘ready for re-connection’, but apparently the property has not been lived in for many years, so, I believe, it would be connection.
On a second note would the above phrase not be understood that it only has to be connected without much further work to be done to it? Especially when we had been told that the wiring had all been upgraded. I should be interested, how other members would understand the above phrase, and be grateful for any replies.

In the 2.5 weeks since your first question it might well have been quicker to ask the water & electric company the question to get the anser for certain. No matter what is said here the reply from the company may be different.

A re-connection wouldn’t occur until all charges are paid in relation to ‘ANY’ previously outstanding bills.

Especially when we had been told that the wiring had all been upgraded.

Being told that means nothing, unless you have documentation or proof from a qualified electrician!

Not sure but if the house has been rewired you may need a certificate from the/a electrician to certify the work before you can get reconected?
