As an American who has witnessed a few real estate bubbles (with multiple underlying causes), I can tell you that the predictions of a market recovery or worsening market are frequently wrong and it is usually due to the predictor not considering factors that are seemingly unrelated to real estate.

But thank you for the link. As I am looking to purchase something in Barcelona, perhaps this information can be used in the ‘price negotiation’ phase of my purchase.
