Property in Lanzarote

      Does anyone here own a property in Lanzarote? I have to confess I have never been there, and I need to get a better idea of who buys property there these days. Does any nationality dominate? Are buyers predominantly older retirees or younger couples with kids? Anyone know?

      I’ve got property in Lanz. The majority of inhabitants are still Spanish or Canarian. Followed by Brits, Irish, German, Scandinavian and Italian. Probably in that order Yes, there are a fair number of retirees. The young family scenario still happens but a lot less than before as work is very difficult to come by.

      Not many that I can see! Prices have come down by 50% in some cases. Lots of finished and largely empty developments or half finished and abandoned.
