Castalla Internacional –
The village type setting of Castalla Internacional lies close to the town of Castalla and just twenty five minutes drive from Alicante Airport. A lovely mountain breeze flows through the village keeping you cool in the summer months. The urbanisation consists mainly of ex British people with some Spanish and a mix of other nationalities. You are surrounded by lovely scenic views and the pace of life is very slow and typically Spanish. Locals meet at the bar where there is often live music in the evening or take a dip in the communal pool to pass away the day.
The town of Castalla is located 680 metres above sea level in picturesque mountain surroundings about 30km North West of Alicante. The town is overlooked by a walled medieval castle which was built around the 11th century. There is also the 16th century church and the town hall dating back to the 17th century. As you walk through the old parts of the town you find narrow streets, the place is full of history and it has a traditional Spanish feel about it. The main centre has all the modern facilities and yet retains its charm. The market which is held twice a week provides an excellent range of products and always offers value for money.
Castalla is the ideal place for those people who want to live in country style surroundings with excellent scenery of flowing hills and almond trees. The beaches of San Juan and El Campello are all within an easy drive.
