Penthouse on Barcelona Paseo de Gracia rents for €35,000 per month

The agency Prestige Barcelona (part of Coldwell Banker Spain) has reportedly let a penthouse on Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia for €35,000 per month, making it the most expensive long term rental on record in Spain. The property is said to have 500 sqm and 300 sqm of terrace, was refurbished three years ago, and would have a market value of €12m. The tenant is a member of a ruling family in the Middle East. Some press reports say this operation is not a relevant benchmark for anything else on the market.
