Just heard an ad’ on local radio for a golf course development. Part-exchange your UK home for a new apartment on a golf course. Why shouldn’t they, be easier to sell the UK home than the golf course off/plan one 🙄
I have just read your above post and I work for the developer who is offering this new Part Exchange programme for the Golf Development Apartments. These properties are new builds, completed and with all licences in place. The reason why we can offer Part Exchange on a UK property is because we are a PLC in the UK and Ireland as well as one of the UK’s largest home builders (Mc Inerney Homes UK).
Initially the Part Exchange programme was launched in the UK to assist clients in making their move to buying a Mc Inerney Home, the programme was successful and now we have extended it to cover our Spanish operation here in Marbella as well.
How can we make such an offer to clients? As a developer with over 55 current projects in the UK we have very strong links with a number of Real Estate agents across the country and thus we are able to value the said property, agree a purchase price with the agent and take the unit off the current owner while they exchange on their new chosen property.
This ad. is still on the radio, surely nobody could be that stupid to think part exchanging a UK property for a Spanish property in todays climate is a good move.
I can only think the bright spark who thought this scheme up must feel there is still plenty of mugs ready to be parted with their hard earned.
