got the keys to my apartment last week – i love it
fantastic front line view- La Rinconada de Miraflores Golf in Riviera del Sol

Ive spent 2 years looking and Im delighted with my purchase- 48 apts in total, gym sauna, underfloor heating, aircon, sky jacuzzi etc

facing south- sun all day long

community seems friendly, lagoon pool very pretty environment 1km from beach

having a ball in the sunshine i must admit the ambience of the costa del sol beats n ireland all day long!

It can work – of course there are horror stories but you must research and get a good lawyer

As a single guy I have to say well…………………… you know what I mean!!!!!!! My current ‘girlfriend’ is Russian and I cant wait to see her when I go out again on Sunday 😀

Might even take up golf eventually!!!!!!!!!!!!

pm me if you want details of a good agent and lawyer

Well done, I know exactly how you feel, just great. I’m back over next Wednesday, can’t wait.
The only difference is I don’t have a Russian girlfriend, how much does one of them cost 😆 + IVA 😆

Have you sold your car yet, the price of hire cars are ‘muy caro’ at the moment.

      Hi,
Sorry for offtop, but this is not the 1st time I hear special remarks about Russian girlfriends and I do not understand the reasons behind.
What is special about Russian girlfriends?
Why are they worth singling out?
What does distinguish them from Hungarian, eg?
Do they do things: cook, look after the house, or make love in a specific non-democratic way?
      Im curious to learn.
Thank you in advance those who could throw a ray of light.

      Without entering in detail:

      – Hungarian girlfriends could make love in specific non-democratic ways.

      – Russian gilfriends (meaning the ones living in Russia) are most likely poorer than the Hungarian gilfriends (meaning the ones that live in Hungary). A poorer person is more likely than a richer one to try to get up on the society scale by being less honest.

demographic shifts. average life expectancy for men in russia is like 55 (because of alcohol not because of the women).

Also most people can find russia on a map, but if you tell them ukraine, belarus, etc… they tend to have more trouble.

just back from my brief visit to the apt

had a great time – champagne every night and the exclusive attention of my russian gf 😀

whats so special about russian girls?- well not having done a full ‘topographic’ survey of all eastern european girls (just polish) i can only comment on this one particular example(in the words of little britain:

      ‘ohhhhhhhh she was gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

slim ,athletic, sexy voice ,uninhibited plus you can actually enjoy a proper drink with them

I remember the first time we met I aplogised for having only whisky and white lemonade plus coca cola

she said great whisky/coke please with ice!!!!!!(and proceeded to down about 10 of them!!!!)

now theres a girl after my own heart

one of my fondest memories of the last few days is letting her drive my corsa up and down the a7 (as i having difficulty stroking my belly and patting my head at the same time ie driving lhd on right soide of road)

russian girls love to drive fast and my wee corsa was maxxing out as she tailgated along the san pedro road , suddenly the car braked in front of us and she hit the anchors-she was barefoot at the time as its impossible to drive in stilletos as you know, anyway the brakes locked up and car drifted sideways for hundreds of yards all the time rubber burning

just avoided a major spill (great reactions these ruskies)

When my heart returned to its proper place i asked her was she ok and not frightened- she calmly said

‘in russia i drive bus- this little car is nothing’ 😀

so loads of fun in the sun with russian girls!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

soz about speliing still in shock 😯

Don’t care about this people (I call them “the game zone-band”), They are always like that…There is some people so poor that they only measure everything in money terms…sad…
They don’t buy a home,…they make an investment,…and pass every single day of his lives calculating the cost of opportunity of that investment…???.
They can not understand to have a partner,…without measuring it in economic terms,…to pay or to be paid…???.
      They are quite disgusting!!!.

Property is a very illiquid market,…to know the real price of my house I will need to have a permanent “FOR SALE” in my window…and to be calculating the cost of opportunity every single call…

Fuengi, what is your opinion of the market right now. Some say it is picking up but there are still a lot on sale that have been on for years. Yesterday an article in Sur said prices on the CDS have risen 0.01%
One spanish man commented that near his home there were large blocks where only 5 or so properties had been sold.

Not saying I shall believe an agent but I value your opinion 😉

My honest opinion? (BTW an honest agent is not an oxymoron!!!)

So far this year we have seem a big improvement over last year. I don’t know whether this is due to more buyers or fewer agencies around though.

Our market is 50/60% spanish, with the rest made up of Brits and scandinavians.

prices, not much to say about it. No point at the moment

      Katy and others

After the tv show I had over 400 emails and 70+ phone calls. Around 98% form buyers which really surprised me.

However these have to convert otherwise its not money!!!

There are people wanting to buy. Mostly for own use, ie holiday homes, very few as investors ie to add to portfolios.

Mostly worried the bottom had been reached and they would lose out.

So, from my point of view, busy showing, not so busy agreeing deals!!!!!!!

Lots of activity, lets see what happens. Busier money earing wise that the late 90’s, lets see what completes.

      80% spanish buyers completing!!!!!

I wondered because I recommended that someone post a for sale on here. No replies at first after reducing 6 replies but it was already sold. so, I know two properties that have sold in marbella over the past few months (is this a record 😉 )

When I deal with anyone on the phone in the UK they always sound very envious and ask questions. Perhaps there are some who never hear of the negatives.
