Non Resident-Tax Payments

      We have recently purchased in the Torrevieja area.The previous owners of our property paid the Suma for the current year but I have been reading about income tax to pay the government regarding the ownership of a property here in Spain, regardless of if you rent your property out, or not.
      Would anyone out there shed some light on this or do i need to talk to my lawyer over in Spain?
