I bought a small property some 10 years ago for my mother to be close to her (British) partner who lived there. He soon moved in with her and has been there since. Sadly my mother passed away (with no will) and whilst I have no intention to ask him to leave, he is seeking probate in his name. This concerns me slightly and I wonder if he has any rights as someone who has resided in a property for a certain time.
