Anyone know of Michael Moon estate agent P. Banus? Is this a new agency?
Started to bombard email addresses with lots of what seem like overpriced properties. Is this someone who used to work for one of the other notorious agents there? 🙄

Maybe someone on this site knows as I was spammed by them too. I once asked who they are too asI thought I had heard of the ones who had an office.

They are a UK estate agent based in the Liverpool area and they have at least two offices that I know of in the Marbella area (Elviria and Marbella).
They are very pro active in their mailshot/marketing programme. Some would say over agressive.
Apart from that I can’t give any opinion good or bad. Never used them myself.

I know Michael Moon well. He has been established in Marbella for a very long time and my last dealings with them were fine.

He has a good solid reputation.

I would find it strange him sending loads of emails out as they always struck me as sensible agents, might be worth replying and saying you dont want the information – could there be a virus??

I think the only virus is their marketing dept. i am curious as to how they got my e-mail 😕 If they have such a good reputation, why haven’t I heard of them? Their marketing can be as aggresive as they want but they won’t sell “distressed” property at that price. Anyway I put them in junk!

Hi

To reply to any SPAM is to confirm your email address and invite more. Never reply even if you’re invited to cancel further emails, again this confirms that your email is live and it will be sold to others to use.

Bugger all to do with Spanish property but thought I’d mention it 😉

I’m supprised you have not heard of MMM, they have been in Marbella for years, they used to only sell high end property along with Engels & Volkers and the women on the tv show(you know who I mean. not Inez).

This is a link to there current bargain page, looks like a couple of well priced properties on it !

Any one care to comment on the prices asked.

If you are a serious buyer, my advice as a totally independent observer, would be to use the services of Inez, who posts on this sight.

(I haven’t met her, but her reputation is very high 😉 )

Reputation good but unfortunately properties not any lower than anywhere else.(sorry Inez) One or two of the MM seemed sort of reasonable, but, why all those “bargains” sold, can’t they take them off the site….bit lacking in credability for me….[b]AND I WOULD STILL LIKE TO KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY E-MAIL ADDRESS anyone out there 😈

Thanks for all the info, I don’t know how they got hold of certain emails when they’ve not been given them before, that’s why I asked, maybe they’ve got ex staff from other agents passing on previous data.

Hi Katy,

at least once a week a mortgage provider, currency exchange company, etc…. contacts us to offer our existing buyers/vendors their latest offer. All we have to do is supply the contact telephone numbers, email addresses, etc… and we will get X commission.

Few bother to mention anything about data protection act and how we are barred from giving out this information. Unfortunately you email address has probably been given to quite a few agencies/companies.

Or as Angie said ex-agent from X estates simply took the details with him to the new company.

I should say though I have never heard of Michael Moon being one of the ‘dodgy’ agencies. Never had any direct dealings, but they seem to be above board, minus the unsolicited email you received.
