Posted by Dawn on Saturday 12th June: We are retiring to Spain and are looking in the Costa Brava region near Calonge. Can anyone tell me what the winter there is like? Posted by Guest on 14th June: Temperatures from Nov-Mar are usually in the 50s-60s F, and there can be a fair amount of rain. But it comes as blissful relief after months of dry, hot summers. Posted by Dawn on 18th June: Thanks for that. Does the area stay open during the winter or is it very dead? Much appreciated. Posted by Mark on 18th June: It very much depends where you buy. Places like Pals are dead out of season and Begur is very quiet, but Sant Feliu de Guixlos is lively all year.
