I wonder if anybody can help, I’m looking for a non residents mortgage 80% of property value with an intrest only period.

It maybe that this product does not exist but if it does I dead keen to hear about it.

Hi DGR

My understanding is that non-residents can only get a maximum of 70% of valuation as a Spanish mortgage – and yes these can be interest only.

Of course if you have property in the UK and sufficient equity, then you can get the additional 10% as part of a UK mortgage.

I have just organised an 85 per cent mortgage on a resale villa for a non-resident with a major Spanish building society. The valuation was above the sale price too.
