The golf club has closed and will be overgrown in weeks !!!!!!! 😥 😥 a tragedy really rendering anything up there unsaleable !!!!!! I’ve no idea if La Perla are still “selling”; at least not in their original guise, !!! maybe under another name/ ltd co????? this is the final nail in the coffin, and I’d say the marbella club resort next door is not far away – Is this the final purge of the weak??? it will be years and years before an investor buys the remains of MM, most other golf clubs are on their last legs as well !!!!!!!!! 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥

This company seem to be prospering. I hear they are now running all former Polaris World courses for a consortium of banks. I believe Jose Marie Olazabal is an investor.

What’s even funnier was that long before I went to work in Spain we had a couple of people from Polaris World sent over to us here in Sweden “around christmas 2006”. I remember them telling us that everything else that wasn’t built by Polaris World in Spain was crap. They even laughed at our revenue which was around 200-300k euros per agent. I wonder if those two people are still working with Polaris World or not?
I remember thinking to myself that it sounded really cool but very megalomaniac at the same time…. doesn’t really feel equally as cool when you visit Condado de Alhama golf resort.

I don’t know who now owns it. All I know is that when the boom got going it was owned by a Dutch company called La Perla, and they were big news in Holland thanks to their real estate wealth. I think they went to the wall when boom turned to bust (not sure about that).

They are all now working for the banks reselling the same ‘crap’. 🙁

the benahavis town hall is now refusing to give out First Occupation licenses (IN MM) to a small number of people who have just finished constructing their mansions!!!! they issued building licenses two years ago and are now saying that as the area has not been adopted by the town hall (very common in Spain) they will not issue the 1st occ license. it is disgusting and just goes to show nothing has changed and nothing will change!!!!!!!!!!! being a pioneer here is not a good idea!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙁 🙁 🙁 😯 😯 😯
