I would be interested to purchase a property close to the Sierra Nevada ski resort and within (long) driving distance to the Sea.

Anybody knows the MOnachil and Guejar Sierra? Any other place worth searching in the area?

I am trying to arrange a 3 day visit in the Granada area and I am trying
to put together a list of places to concentrate on.

I not planning to buy in 2008 unless I can drive a hard bargain.

Monachil is a very pleasant place; close to the skiing and on the edge of the National Park. I believe there is talk (still only talk after much rumour) that a ski station may be built there, if they go ahead with the ‘sky train’. Prices are high in the area. As you say, a long trek to the coast and then not particularly nice beaches when you get there.

Granada, however, is a really beautiul city.
