If you read all the article the real punishment is a fine of 1500 Euros, as he will not go to prison.

No mention of how much of a bribe he took for the “authorisation”.

The fine seems especially small, given that I read of fines levied in the region of tens of thousands to foreigners for for such things as no tourist licence for renting, no building works licence, or even my own family case of a few bits of patio furniture outside their front door (but on council land) for which they fined around 1000 Euros.

Corruption in public office seems a far lesser crime.
