The old landmark building on the main street which previously was headquarters of Radio Nacional is being demolished this week despite many petitions and protests. The present owner none other than Tomas Olivo one of the developers citied in the malaya case. He will now construct a six storey apartment block for which he has planning permission. 🙄

May be trivial to the average ex-pat but the building had a certain nostalgia for a lot who are true marbelli. Last year there was a campaign amongst spaniards with many joining from various parts of the world. One group wanted to turn it into a gallery showing old marbella but of course there is no money in that 🙄
I think it is also of interest that the same people who caused so many problems for the town are now being reborn.
