just been reading David Jackson’s blog, which normally focuses on news and events affecting Almeria.
There is a facinating article about a small bar located in Madrid’s central Casa del Campo park, which has turned itself into Madrid’s largest disco without bothering to ask for any permits.
Apparently what should be a small chiringuito with a patio has turned into a massive disco with five bars, swimming pool, parking for 1,700 cars, outdoor stages, spotlights, waterfalls and 150 waiters and workers. All in the middle of Madrid’s “green lung”, supposedly the most sacred of untouchable spots.
And guess who is responsible for renting out the premises
As David says himself “if I made this up, you wouldn’t believe me”

Sacred! 😯 The Casa de Campo has been full of hookers for years.
Any leisurely Sunday drive through there will soon provide scenes reminiscent of Benny Hill or the Carry On films, with scantily clad ladies, men in long rain coats, rustling bushes, etc.

Yes, it’s had a dodgy reputation for years, especially as dusk approaches. If anything a disco would improve its standing! There again, the craze known in Britain as “dogging” and other such activities, are probably part of the scene…
