Hi All,

Looking for opinions on locations near Castellon de la Plana.

Benicassim was recommended by a friend who lives in the region but there doesn´t seem to be much there for my budget (€120,000).

I´m looking at Oropesa del MAr and also El Grao de Moncofa? What are these locations live to live and for rental income. Is there a big expat community of mostly Spanish?

I plan to live there 3-6 months of the year but I also want to rent / AirBnb.

I have an aprtment about 120 km north to Castellon and go to Castellon once or twice per year for shopping. This summer I stopped on the wa to see Oropesa del Mar, specifically Marina d’Or, as I have only seen it from a distance before.
The place is filled with high store buildings, many of them unoccupied. Early July the place was not deserted but there were not many people around. Also I felt the place had no real life like a “normal” Spanish village. Very few cafés etc…
To each his own, but Marina d’Or is definitely not in my taste.
I also think renting will be difficult due an enormous glut of apartments there.

You can easily find the affordable and best place in Oropesa del Mar to live. Yes the mostly community is Spanish expats. And Oropesa del Mar is better option as compared to other.
