Hello,,

I will be going to Valencia in March to check out properties. Ideally, I’d like to buy an apartment in the old part of town (near Barrio de Carmen).  Can anyone recommend a good realty agency and/or realty lawyer? My daughter is a legal Spanish resident, and I’d like to put the apartment in her name, and I’m prepared to pay the reservation fee if I see something I like.  Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

We’ve just purchased a home in Orihuela Costa and unfortunately, were recommended ‘Sun Lawyers’, to handle the purchase. It’s been a nightmare!

They never reply to e-mails or queries and one of their lawyers actually believes he’s Gods gift to mankind. Avoid with a bargepole, if possible.

I purchased a home in Cabo Roig on the Costa Blanca last year and used Sun Lawyers and they were great. I used their Cabo Roig branch (I know they have a few different branches in the area, however).

Real Estate agent – I used HomeEspaña, they sell in Valencia too and have a fantastic after sales team who help you deal with everything after the sale. Good luck with everything.
