how long does it usually take for the process of buying a house to be concluded after the price has been agreed upon by the parties?
-
Can be as quick as a month, can take up to a year.
Is it a cash buyer or do they need to arrange finance?
Will the survey show problems?
Does the buyers already have a Spanish bank account?
Etc…etc…etc…..
Typically I suppose it normally would take 2-3 months.

We have bought and sold within a month. Cash buyer could do it in 3 weeks.
-
We just bought a place, and IIRC it took nearly three months
Delays were caused by holidays, sellers solicitor (just lazy IMHO), valuation problems, mortgage problems, the house got burgled during this time, so that also caused a additional delays
For us it was worth it in the end, but I was seriously thinking of pulling out when we got to two months as it felt like nothing was happening

You must have loved the place. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we have had it for just one week now, and I love it!
Lots of work to do, but it’s great……..

It took us about 3 months to complete the purchase of our property. This included arranging a small mortgage through a spanish bank, arranging for my wife to sign a spanish document in the UK (witnessed by a UK lawyer) giving me authority to sign documents on her behalf in Spain and also of course finding a time slot in a busy diary to pop over to Spain to sign all the documents. As has been said it can be done much quicker depending upon circumstances.
